Below are some highlights of today’s patch. For the full list of all of today’s additions and fixes with more details, check out the patch notes here.
This week, we are enabling most of the remaining Mastery options for the Enchanter class. Enchanter players should find a greatly expanded arsenal of spells and abilities. We still have a few more abilities that we’ll be enabling in upcoming patches, but the majority of the class kit is available now for testing, and we look forward to player feedback.
We have also enabled several abilities and Mastery options for other classes that were previously not functioning. Of course, we also have a number of bug fixes this week for issues that players have reported to us.
Beyond abilities, this week also includes major updates to itemization. Most of the uncommon-quality drops in the game have been updated, along with a number of rare drops. These changes are helping us move towards the envisioned itemization strategy for the Combat and Progression update. While we do still have some more changes planned, we’ll be watching feedback around item drops closely to make sure that our updates are working out well.
What’s Next
We’re making final preparations to open the Market system on the Public Test Realm in the near future. This system will allow players to easily buy and sell items, and is intended to help us move towards a more active player economy. The initial testing will focus on basic functionality – making sure that everything works the way it is supposed to – but we will be paying attention to feedback as well. Our goal with the PTR deployment is to stress test the Market system so that we can be sure everything will operate smoothly when the time comes to open it on the Production servers.
We are also still moving forward with class abilities and Mastery, as well as additional work around combat tuning. We will be focused on enabling Mastery for Rogue and Ranger over the next several updates, along with continuing to address bugs and enable the remaining Mastery options for the other classes that already have it activated.
As always, we greatly appreciate all our player testers who log into the Public Test Realm and help us with bug reports and feedback. We look forward to continuing to bring updates to the PTR regularly, until we have all our Combat and Progression changes available and can enter final testing for the overall update to Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.
