About the Public Test Realm (PTR)
- The PTR is a server for players to participate in testing upcoming systems and content. It is NOT a full game experience. For the full early access game, please use the commercial Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen client.
- On the PTR, players will encounter bugs and incomplete content and/or systems. Server availability is not guaranteed. Additionally, character and/or server resets may occur without notice.
- Please provide your bug reports and feedback on the Official Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Discord, where PTR feedback channels have been created.
In this Update
- This update includes several bug fixes for various class abilities and mastery options. The patch also contains a substantial revision to NPC pathfinding which we hope will significantly improve NPC and pet responsiveness and resolve many of the issues reported by our testers over the past few weeks.
Testing Focus
- The following areas are in focus:
- Combat testing for levels 1-50
- Mastery options for Warrior, Paladin, Dire Lord, Shaman, Cleric, Druid, Wizard, and Enchanter.
- Solo and Group adventuring gameplay throughout the game.
- Loot itemization feedback at all levels, but especially in level 10-40 adventuring content.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where Critical Heals were not being displayed correctly in the combat log and also made crits of all types in the floating combat text a bit more noticeable.
- Fixed an issue where Penetration and Spell Penetration were not displaying in item tooltips. This was making some items appear as if they had no stats associated with them.
- Fixed an issue where the state of toggled buffs such as Paladin’s Righteous Flame were not persisting when zoning or logging back into the game.
- Potential fix for an issue where mounts could sometimes not be mounted after being tamed.
- Fixed several discovered problems in NPC pathfinding logic that were contributing to a problem where NPCs would take several seconds to move after being pulled or otherwise initiating combat.
Classes
Dire Lord
- Gushing Wound should now apply its effects in all Essence States rather than only when Essence is Dormant.
Enchanter
- Animated Weapons no longer receive a bonus to Threat, and any Threat that they generate while in combat is passed through to the Enchanter. To help clarify this change: The Animated Weapons are meant to function as damage-over-time effects rather than as pets that can be used to tank an NPC. The Illusory Combatant ability is meant to function as the short-term tank pet for the Enchanter.
- Fixed an issue that would cause Enchanters to sometimes damage themselves when casting Prismatic Fan.
- Using a Crystallized Mana item should no longer decrease the user’s mana initially before it begins recharging their mana over time.
- Fixed a problem that could sometimes cause Illusory Shackles to break from the damage being applied by the Barbed Shackles mastery. Also increased the damage caused by Barbed Shackles. While we were at it, we also fixed a problem that was causing Barbed Shackles damage to be applied during the after-effect snare from Writhing Shackles. TLDR: Barbed Shackles should now work more like it is supposed to and make a bigger difference.
- Fixed the typo in the name of the Synaptic Hemorrhage spell, which should hopefully make the ability slightly less rage-inducing to the players casting it.
- Improved Magical Shielding I and II should now provide the correct resistance bonuses to higher ranks of the Shielding line of abilities.
- When using Redline with High Pressure, the damage applied by Redline will now occur in a single strike that includes the damage from the remaining ticks of High Pressure, as well as its detonation effect. This should allow the mana return from the detonation to process correctly when Redline is used. The calculation of the damage from the remaining ticks will now also include an approximate damage bonus based on what High Pressure would have normally received as part of its increasing damage per tick.
Paladin
- Updated the description for Luminous Brace to clarify that it heals based on the amount of damage blocked, rather than the total incoming damage.
- Extended the duration of the Mercy effect from Merciful Spark in order to allow it to stack as intended when Divine Shock is used multiple before casting Oathflame.
- Justicar’s Wrath should now report the damage it can deal in its description.
- Updated the description of Justicar’s Wrath to clarify that not all NPC abilities can be interrupted. An ability that can be interrupted will be marked in the enemy’s cast bar while it is being cast.
- The description for the various Blessed Flame buffs should now display the healing bonus amount based on whether Brighter Flame I or Brighter Flame II is unlocked.
- The effect of Crusader’s Scorn should now properly increase the damage of Wrathful Aegis when present.
- The effect of Glory of Battle should now be able to stack up to 3 times when triggered by Fervent Strike, Faithful Strike, Zealous strike, or Valiant Cross.
- The effect of Sanctified Ground should now have a visible buff icon when the paladin is within its area of effect.
- Vow of the Vigilant I and Ii should now correctly cause your Faithful Strike to heal your Vigilance target.
Rogue
- Fixed a typo in the description of Blackjack Kick.
- Flash Bomb should now stun nearby opponents when it is used. Please note that if an opponent has been stunned recently before Flash Bomb is used, they may be immune to the stun effect.
Shaman
- Bane of Fire V and Bane of Fire VI should now do increased damage compared to lower-level ranks of the same ability.
- Fixed a timing issue that was causing players to sometimes take falling damage when using Walk the Ages to return to a safe location.
- Fixed an issue that was allowing shamans to stack multiple ranks of Bane of Fire on the same target.
- Ancestral Leverage may now be unlocked and will no longer be blocked out by its own pre-requisites.
- Grip of Stone should now properly overwrite its effect if recast on the same target with Firmament I or Firmament II unlocked.
- The effect of heavy Venom should no longer overwrite the primary damage effect of Bane of Venom when it is triggered.
Warrior
- Mocking Blow should now properly trigger the cooldown on Vicious Strike when used.
- Fixed a problem that was causing Anchored Stance to not be removed after Hold the Line ended.
- When an opponent is staggered by Vicious Strike, Assault should now more reliably generate its extra Battle Point. Likewise, when an opponent is staggered by Vicious Strike, both the initial damage and the periodic damage ticks of Rupture should now benefit from the bonus to incoming damage.
Wizard
- The Returning Shards effect that can be triggered as part of the Veyrule’s Teachings: Evocation mastery will no longer inappropriately stun the wizard when it is applied.
Items
- Cleaned up tooltips on some of the newer clicky items in the game.
- Removed class restrictions on the Gilded Scepter.
- Corrected the Poison Crit Chance on the Dagger of Crimson Eyes to Magic Crit Chance.
- Removed the Unique flag from some uncommon items.
- Updated Sarulith’s Staff.
- Updated some low-level accessory items.
