PTR Patch Notes – August 12, 2026

About the Public Test Realm (PTR)

  • The PTR is a server for players to participate in testing upcoming systems and content. It is NOT a full game experience. For the full early access game, please use the commercial Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen client.
  • On the PTR, players will encounter bugs and incomplete content and/or systems. Server availability is not guaranteed. Additionally, character and/or server resets may occur without notice.
  • Please provide your bug reports and feedback on the Official Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Discord, where PTR feedback channels have been created.

In this Update

  • This week, additional abilities and mastery options are being enabled for the Enchanter class. We have also addressed several bugs, including some issues that were causing Wizards to deal inordinately high amounts of critical damage. In addition, we were able to complete several planned code changes that were blocking some of the mastery options for other classes from functioning properly.
  • This week also brings major updates to itemization. Uncommon-quality items throughout the game world have been adjusted. Many Rare-quality items have also been adjusted. While tuning will be ongoing, these changes are a big step forward for advancing the game’s adventuring itemization as a whole.
  • Due to the itemization updates, this week’s update does include a character wipe. Testers will be able to boost their level using our support NPC if desired, although we encourage testers to spend some time providing feedback on game itemization at low levels as well.

Testing Focus

  • The following areas are in focus:
  • Combat testing for levels 1-50
  • Mastery options for Warrior, Paladin, Dire Lord, Shaman, Cleric, Druid, Wizard, and Enchanter.
  • Solo and Group adventuring gameplay throughout the game.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where NPCs would try to hitch a ride on the Sky Durbin lift in the Silent Plains and become stuck as a result. In some cases they also exceeded the weight limit of the lift, which was an unacceptable risk for adventurers who might also be riding it.
  • Fixed an issue where the healing from Verdanfire Tree would continue for several minutes after the tree disappeared at the end of its lifespan.

Classes

Cleric

  • Invisibility vs. Undeath is now functional. Note that this spell will not help you avoid detection by living enemies.

Dire Lord

  • Dire Reach should now properly impact the Dire Grip ability.
  • Torrential Veins should now accurately reflect the level at which it can be unlocked in its Codex entry.

Druid

  • Weapons are no longer displayed while in wolf form, and attacking now plays the proper attack animation and attack sound, regardless of the weapon the Druid has equipped. Parties are encouraged to remind their Druids to change back to their normal forms periodically to help prevent them from going feral.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing higher ranks of Preserver’s Wildfire to heal for larger values than intended.
  • Grove Flame should now properly apply its bonuses to Rank I of Preserver’s Wildfire (and all the other ranks, too).
  • Patient Bloom should now properly apply its bonus to Verdanfire Seed when unlocked.
  • The effects of Wildfire Cultivation I and Wildfire Cultivation II should now process correctly when Verdanfire Seed is used.

Enchanter

  • Added the Confusion ability, which can be learned from class trainers beginning at Level 10.
  • Added the Hallucination: Battle’s End ability, which can be learned from class trainers beginning at Level 20.
  • Added the Illusory Impairment ability, which can be learned from class trainers beginning at Level 12.
  • The following adjustments have been made to Charm:
  • Beneficial buffs may no longer be cast on charmed NPCs by players, unless the Enchanter has the Enhanced Minion mastery unlocked.
  • It is now possible to charm additional types of NPCs with the appropriate mastery options unlocked.
  • The default chance for charm to break when damage is received is now determined by the level difference between the enchanter and the charmed NPC. High presence scores will reduce this chance, as will the Improved Charm I and Improved Charm II mastery unlocks.
  • Normalized the cast times for Chaotic Flux to function properly with the Rapid Flux I and Rapid Flux II mastery effects.
  • Added the Blind Rage ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 25.
  • Added the Borrowed Alacrity ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 25.
  • Added the Clear Mind ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 20.
  • Added the Crystallize Thoughts ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 16.
  • Added the Expand Mind ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 15.
  • Added the Flow State ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 15.
  • Added the Greater Illusion: Beyond the End ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 18.
  • Added the Greater Illusion: Golden Fields of Tranquility ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 30.
  • Added the Greater Illusion: War ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 40.

  • Added the Mass Hysteria ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 20.
  • Added the Mental Conduit ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 8.
  • Added the Overdrive ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 25.
  • Added the Prismatic Flux ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 15.
  • Added the Prismatic Fan ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 40.
  • Added the Redline ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 20.
  • Added the Scour Magic ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 40.
  • Added the Share the Load ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 20.
  • Added the Squee’s Forceful Polymorphificationalism ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 30. Enchanters using this spell are advised to make sure to remember which objects in their vicinity are actually polymorphed enemies, so that they can be prepared when the effects wear off.
  • Added the Squee’s Wonderful Whirlygig ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 20. Little is known about the legendary Enchanter Squee, except that he was probably a lot of fun at parties.
  • Added the Synaptic Hemmorhage ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 14.
  • Added the Enemy Within ability, which can be unlocked via Mastery at Level 10.

  • Enabled the Unbound Mana mastery effect.
  • Enabled the Unerring Magic mastery effects.
  • Note that while the vast majority of Enchanter mastery effects and abilities should now be functioning, there are several mastery unlocks which are still known to not yet be functional and will be enabled in future updates. These are noted in their descriptions within the Enchanter mastery array.

Paladin

  • Ardent Shieldmaster should now properly provide its benefits once it has been unlocked.

Warrior

  • Clarified the description for the Skullringer mastery to explain that some NPC abilities cannot be interrupted.
  • Rattling Impact I and Rattling Impact II should now correctly apply bonus Threat if Bash interrupts an ability cast.
  • Warbringer I should properly apply its benefits.

  • Wizards now receive the Expulsion skill at Level 1.
  • Extended the duration of the Chilled effect from Razor Ice so that it should be more likely for players to get the benefits of casting the spell on their target a second time.
  • Fixed an issue with Unstable Vortex that would cause it to sometimes function improperly.
  • Frostblind should now properly damage all targets within its area of effect instead of applying damage multiple times to the same target.

  • Shared Infusions may now be unlocked at Level 40, instead of 45.
  • Static Arrow I and Frost Arrow I will now show the appropriate level requirements in the Codex when Siegecaster is unlocked.
  • Sword and Gauntlet I now properly grants the Spellgauntlets weapon skill.
  • Sword and Gauntlet II and III will now apply their benefits when the Wizard has a one-handed sword and a Spellgauntlet equipped.
  • The damage boost provided by Reversed Polarity has been reduced.
  • The Elemental Onslaught effect should now be properly consumed when the Wizard casts Flamestrike or Unstable Vortex.

  • Fixed super-reflective ground around the Ghaldassii ruins in Wild’s End.
  • Removed an invisible, magical force field that was partially blocking the docks in Availia and sent a sternly worded letter to the Dean of Students at the Arcanery about this obvious prank.
