PTR Patch Notes – August 19, 2026

About the Public Test Realm (PTR)

  • The PTR is a server for players to participate in testing upcoming systems and content. It is NOT a full game experience. For the full early access game, please use the commercial Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen client.
  • On the PTR, players will encounter bugs and incomplete content and/or systems. Server availability is not guaranteed. Additionally, character and/or server resets may occur without notice.
  • Please provide your bug reports and feedback on the Official Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Discord, where PTR feedback channels have been created.

In this Update

  • This update includes a major stability change to the Mail system, in preparation for upcoming testing for the Player Market. Due to these changes, as well as recent itemization changes, this update includes a character wipe. This character wipe will help us gather baseline data before the introduction of the Market to help ensure that everything performs as expected and to be able to cleanly evaluate itemization feedback from our testers.
  • While a level boost NPC will be available, due to the need for itemization feedback at all levels, players will only be able to boost to Level 20 for the time being.

Testing Focus

  • The following areas are in focus:
  • Combat testing for levels 1-50
  • Mastery options for Warrior, Paladin, Dire Lord, Shaman, Cleric, Druid, Wizard, and Enchanter.
  • Solo and Group adventuring gameplay throughout the game.
  • Loot itemization feedback at all levels, but especially in level 10-40 adventuring content.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where charmed NPCs weren’t following the player that originally charmed them. When an NPC is charmed, it will now automatically begin following the player who charmed it and can be instructed to move or attack like any other pet.
  • Fixed an issue where NPCs attempting to move into melee range with a player or pet would not update the target of their pathfinding if the player or pet moved. This would lead to situations where the NPC would run past the player or pet before recalculating its path.
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to remove recipients while composing a Mail message.
  • Fixed an issue where UI windows were being set to fully opaque when opened, rather than respecting the player’s chosen opacity for that window in the window settings.

Classes

Cleric

  • Reprimand I should now apply its benefits properly when casting Smite or Rebuke.
  • Expedient Cure I and Expedient Cure II should now correctly reduce the mana cost and cast time of Purify.
  • Greater Resurrection and Superior Resurrection will now have their advertised effects on Resurrection Sickness.
  • Sturdy Strike and Radiant Gavel should now correctly display their damage information in the description of the ability.

Dire Lord

  • Slightly increased the duration of Provoking Phantoms stacks, so that it should now be possible to reapply Provoking Phantoms before the stacks fall off. Please note that this may be subject to further tuning in future updates.
  • Corrected a typo in the description to the Vicious Nightmares mastery node.

Druid

  • Treeform should now correctly provide its health regeneration bonus to the Druid when the Life-Giving Shade mastery is not unlocked.
  • Sheltering Canopy should now properly provide its benefits when Treeform is used.
  • Ward Synergy I should now properly add healing to Hirode’s Flame.
  • Spirit of the Sylphid should now be correctly added to the Codex when unlocked.

Enchanter

  • Animated Weapons should now properly do damage once summoned and should not die immediately when they enter combat (although they can still be destroyed if they receive enough damage).
  • The Confusion spell should no longer remove debuffs and DoTs from NPCs and should keep them in combat when it expires.
  • Enchanters now gain the Manifestation skill at Level 1, which is needed for some of their abilities.

Paladin

  • Added a temporary visual effect for Sanctified Ground and Consecrated Ground. This effect will be updated with a more permanent visual effect in a future update.
  • Clarified the description of Ember of Mercy to more accurately reflect that the Wrath discount will only apply if a charge of Blessed Flame is consumed when Oathflame is used.
  • Oathflame’s Echo should now correctly heal the group member with the lowest health, that is not the Paladin using the ability.
  • Valiant Cross should now be usable either with a two-handed weapon or with a weapon and shield if the Shielded Sweep mastery is unlocked (instead of only being usable with a weapon and shield).
  • Paladins now gain the Enervation skill at Level 1, which is needed for some of their abilities.
  • Paladins now gain the Augmentation skill at Level 1, which is needed for some of their abilities.

Shaman

  • Updated the descriptions on the mastery nodes for Improved Scorched Fog I and Improved Scorched Fog II to make the progression of the mastery benefits more clear.
  • Updated the descriptions on the mastery nodes for Improved Omen of Fangs I and Improved Omen of Fangs II to make the progression of the mastery benefits more clear.
  • Animus I and Animus II should now correctly reduce the mana cost of Bane of Venom.

Summoner

  • Fixed several issues with the Undine pet that would cause it to sometimes become unresponsive and not properly follow the Summoner.

Warrior

  • Fixed incorrect display names for the ability scrolls for Guarded Strike V and Guarded Strike VI.

Wizard

  • The Eruption ability should now only be usable after a critical hit with Blade of the Cataclysm.
  • Mol-Thrane’s Teachings: Evocation should now work properly with Unstable Vortex III.
  • Ember Surge I should now correctly display its level requirement in its Codex entry.

Items

  • Updated the stats of all uncommon and higher rarity melee weapons in the level 14-36 range.
  • Updated the stats for all level 14-36 held items, and added Spellgauntlets in this level range to various loot tables.
  • Updated many uncommon and rare level 14-36 shields.
  • Updated rare level 14-36 armor and accessories.
  • Converted many Longstaves as well as some daggers and other weapons into “caster” weapons in the level 14-35 range. Caster weapons have reduced physical damage, but feature bonus stats designed to boost spellcasting capabilities.
  • Added several Spellgauntlet drops to NPCs in the level 20-30 range.
  • Added several Spellgauntlets and an additional Greatsword drop to NPCs in the level 35-45 range.
  • Updated Uncommon two-handed weapons to no longer include Block Bonus as a randomly generated stat, except for Martial Staves which can still roll this bonus, as Monks can block without a shield equipped.
  • Removed the unintended randomization from the Ghaldassii Necklace quest reward, and updated the stats on both the uncommon and rare versions of the necklace.
  • Updated the loot for Tel’Daedras. The Pendant of Greater Fortitude and Bracers of the Forgotten Hero have been removed and will return in the future as part of a different encounter. Added a completely new looted item to the encounter, and rebalanced the Spellsinger’sBlade as an Epic-quality caster weapon.

User Interface

  • It is now possible to tell your pets to follow your defensive target by holding shift while clicking the follow button, or by using ‘/petfollow defensive’ as a text command. If you do not currently have a defensive target, your pets will simply continue to follow you.
