About the Public Test Realm (PTR)

The PTR is a server for players to participate in testing upcoming systems and content. It is NOT a full game experience. For the full early access game, please use the commercial Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen client.

On the PTR, players will encounter bugs and incomplete content and/or systems. Server availability is not guaranteed. Additionally, character and/or server resets may occur without notice.

Please provide your bug reports and feedback on the Official Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Discord, where PTR feedback channels have been created.

In this Update

This update contains a number of bug fixes for various issues impacting class abilities and mastery, as well as changes to the Enchanter class in preparation for the introduction of Enchanter mastery.

Enchanter Mastery Preparation

We are preparing to introduce the Enchanter mastery branches to the Public Test Realm in an upcoming update. Enchanter mastery unlocks will include several significant enhancements to many of the Enchanter’s base abilities and core class features. Due to this, we are making changes to the base abilities this week to prepare for the introduction of Mastery in an upcoming patch.

Level Cap

The level cap for Week 12 will remain at level 40. Trainer NPCs for level 31-40 class abilities may be found in the village of Sky Durbin, in the Silent Plains.

Week 12 Testing Focus

The following areas are in focus for Week 12:

  • Combat testing for levels 1-40
  • Mastery options for Warrior, Paladin, Dire Lord, Shaman, Cleric, Druid, and Wizard
  • Solo and Group adventuring gameplay throughout the game.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that would cause lower ranks of known abilities to fail to update properly on the hotbar when purchasing or refunding mastery upgrades. This issue contributed to many bug reports about mastery unlocks not working properly.
  • Mastery unlocks that grant new abilities will now correctly grant the higher ranks of those abilities at the appropriate levels.

Classes

General

  • The Mystic Snowball event ability has been removed and may no longer be used.
  • All players will now very slowly regenerate health and mana while in combat. Please note that the most efficient way to regenerate health and mana (without the aid of abilities or items) is still to rest while not in combat.

Cleric

  • The base healing and base mana cost have been adjusted for all ranks of Celestial Light.
  • The cooldown for Rebuke has been removed.
  • The cooldown for Smite has been removed.
  • Adept Light-Wielder I and II will no longer provide additional pushback resistance. Other benefits of these mastery unlocks are unchanged.
  • Improved Healing Spark I and II will no longer provide additional pushback resistance. Other benefits of these mastery unlocks are unchanged.
  • The mana cost reduction provided by Barrier Efficiency II has been increased to 30%.
  • Swift Shielding I now reduces the cooldown of Sacred Shield by 2 seconds, and Swift Shielding II removes the cooldown entirely.

Dire Lord

  • All ranks of Sanguine Blast should now be castable at the level at which they can be learned.
  • The Blood Fiend ability has been moved to level 10.
  • Fixed a problem that was causing the Devour debuffs to not fully apply their effects to targeted NPCs.
  • Provoking Phantoms stacks now generate the correct amount of threat per stack.
  • The duration of Provoking Phantoms stacks with Vicious Nightmares unlocked should now correctly be 10 seconds.
  • The nefariously misplaced decimal point that was causing Darkfall to consume 1500% of the Dire Lord’s maximum health has been corrected. The ability should now only consume 15% of the Dire Lord’s maximum health when used, making it (relatively) safe to use in combat.
  • Dire Mark is now properly usable at the level at which it can be unlocked.

Druid

  • Higher ranks of Spirit of the Owl should now buff all group members when cast on someone within the Druid’s group.
  • Several fixes for Talisman of Regrowth healing for incorrect values.
  • The amount of healing provided by Verdanfire Tree has been reduced, and the intended duration of the ability has been extended to 5 minutes.

Enchanter

  • The Wizard version of invisibility is no longer usable by Enchanters.
  • All ranks of Illusion Graft: Fatigue now have a duration of 120 seconds. The potency of the slow effect has been reduced for all ranks of the ability.
  • Ghaven’s Wild Display has been consolidated into three ranks that are available at levels 2, 22, and 42. The casting skill for this ability has been changed to Expulsion. The duration of the stun for all ranks of the ability has been decreased. The number of targets affected by Ghaven’s Wild Display III has been increased.
  • Hush has been consolidated into three ranks, which are available at levels 6, 28, and 50. The cooldown for this ability has been increased to 60 seconds. The default range of the ability has been increased to 30 meters. The duration of the silence effect from Hush has been decreased.
  • Illusion Graft: Celerity has been consolidated into three ranks, available at levels 10, 30, and 50. The ability is now a toggled instant cast ability that lasts until deactivated, and it will now boost the melee and spell haste of all players within range in the Enchanter’s group when it is activated. Due to this change, the mana cost for the ability has been increased, and the amount of haste provided by the ability has been reduced compared to previous ranks/versions.
  • The Arcane Cords ability (for Enchanters) has been renamed to Illusory Shackles. The first rank of this ability is now available at Level 4, with additional ranks available at levels 14, 24, 34, and 44. The maximum duration of the root effect from this ability has been decreased.
  • Mesmerize is now available beginning at Level 1, with additional ranks available at levels 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, and 48. The cooldown for this ability has been removed. However, the ability may only be used on one target at a time and the global cooldown will still apply to the ability. The maximum duration of the effect has been reduced. The icon of the effect has been updated to match the ability icon. The mana costs for Mesmerize I-III has been decreased, and the mana costs for Mesmerize IV-VII have been increased.
  • Runeskin has been consolidated into three ranks, which are available at levels 4, 20, and 44. The casting skill for this ability has been changed to Fortification. The cooldown for recasting Runeskin has been increased to 10 seconds. The maximum stack size for Runeskin has been decreased for all ranks of the ability.
  • Stupefy has been consolidated into three ranks, available at levels 6, 28, and 50. The cooldown for this ability has been increased to 60 seconds, and the mana cost of the ability has been increased.
  • The base cast time for Ranks II-VII of Chaotic Flux has been decreased. The base damage for ranks I and III of the ability has been decreased.
  • The base mana cost for Lyrith’s Calm has been increased.
  • The cast time for Whisper of Tysire has been increased to 3 seconds. All Whisper abilities will now have their cast times affected by Spell Haste. The mana cost for Whisper of Marali and Whisper of Enshire has been increased. The resting mana regeneration bonus provided by Whisper of Enshire, Whisper of Faydesh, and Whisper of Malison has been slightly decreased.
  • The casting skill for Forceful Will has been changed to Enervation.
  • The casting skill for Strange Magic has been changed to Evocation. The damage of Strange Magic is no longer dependant on the Enchanter’s equipped weapon (although the ability will still potentially benefit from stat boosts provided by equipment).
  • The damage of Stab the Mind has been slightly increased, and the percentage of mana returned to the Enchanter has been slightly decreased. The default range of the ability has been increased to 30 meters.
  • The durations of the various ranks of Charm have been adjusted. Charm I will now have a maximum duration of 6 minutes, while Charm V will have a maximum duration of up to 10 minutes, with the duration of the other ranks falling in between these two values. The mana cost of Charm abilities has been increased.
  • The Fixate line of abilities has been removed. New crowd control abilities will become available when Enchanter mastery is introduced.
  • The Malison’s Animation line of abilities has been transformed and expanded into the Enchant Object: Animate Weapon line of abilities. Five varieties of weapons may be enchanted: Daggers, Swords, Axes, Maces, and Bows. The enchanter chooses which type of weapon to enchant based on which version of the ability they choose to cast. When enchanted, a weapon will proceed to attack the Enchanter’s target for up to 60 seconds before the enchantment dissipates. The animated weapon drains mana from the enchanter, and only one animated weapon may be active at any given time. There are multiple ranks of this ability, which determine the relative strength of the animated weapon. Those ranks are available at levels 4, 10, 16, 22, 28, 34, 40, and 46. By default, animated weapons will only perform simple attacks. However, enchanters will be able to expand the capabilities of the different animated weapon types through mastery.
  • The mana costs for the Shielding line of abilities have been increased.
  • The Mental Fortification ability has been removed.
  • The Shock and Awe ability has been removed.
  • The Spell Turn ability has been removed.

Paladin

  • Higher ranks of Venger’s Vow should now provide the appropriate amount of Wrath to the Paladin.
  • The threat bonuses provided by Inciting Shock have been significantly increased.
  • Righteous Flame no longer has a casting cost and is now a toggled ability.
  • The description for Condemning Blow has been updated to reflect the current effects of the ability. Higher ranks have been adjusted to behave consistently with lower ranks.
  • The activation cost for Valiant Cross has been reduced to 200 Wrath. Fan the Flame should now properly apply its effect when Valiant Cross is used.
  • Ardent Shieldmaster should now properly apply its benefits to the Paladin.
  • Corrected a problem that was causing Blessed Flame stacks to generate far too quickly during combat.

Rogue

  • Ambidextrous should now properly apply its effects to the Rogue.
  • Multiple ranks of the Bloodletter and Twin Fangs abilities will no longer stack with each other when applied by the same Rogue.
  • Twin Fangs now costs 1 Opportunity to activate. The cooldown for the ability has been removed.

  • The Vanguard’s Lance mastery should now properly casuse Javelin to generate a Battle Point when it hits a target outside of melee range.
  • Shield Mastery II should now properly grant battle points on successful blocks. This effect can only happen once every 5 seconds. The bonus health from this Mastery Unlock should now also properly be applied to the Warrior when a shield is equipped.
  • Threatening Posture I and II should now correctly apply their benefits to Hold the Line.

Wizard

  • Consolidated Clarity of the High Tower into a single rank. The ability may now be unlocked at Level 10 in both the Elementalist and Spellblade mastery trees. • Updated the icons and descriptions for several Wizard abilities for better visibility and clarity.
  • Blazing Arc, Crystalline Arc, and Crackling Arc now require a Sword or Greatsword to be equipped. • Wizards may once again learn the Invisiblity spell at level 18. The ability scroll is available from class trainers.
  • It is now only possible to have one Infuse Blade ability active at a time.
  • Corrected a problem with Infuse Blade: Fire that was contributing to some zone crashes.
  • Razor Ice will now apply Crystallized on the first application of the ability.
  • Flame Arrow, Frost Arrow, and Static Arrow are now learned via ability scrolls (available at trainers) and will no longer be automatically learned based on skill. The total number of ranks of these abilities has been reduced, and the level requirements modified so that they are learned at different levels instead of all at once. The damage of the first rank of these abilities has been reduced.
  • Frostblind will no longer damage the Wizard when used. The first rank of this ability is now available at Level 2. The cooldown of the ability has been increased to 10 seconds.
  • The cooldown for Searing Blade and Frostblind has been increased to 10 seconds.
  • Higher ranks of Impaling Ice should now cast properly if Impaling Ice I is not on the hotbar.
  • It should no longer be possible to have multiple familiars summoned at the same time.
  • Radiate Heat should now temporarily dispel the chilled state applied by Frigid climates (such as in Hanggore). Please note that this effect is a temporary respite and that it is not intended to be a way to permanently avoid the negative effects of the extreme climate.
  • The cast times for focus-generating spells such as Blast of Cold and projectiles such as Sparking Bolt have been adjusted. Lower ranks will be faster to cast than higher ranks of the abilities, though will obviously deal less damage.
  • The mana costs for the Shielding line of abilities have been increased.
  • Cryostasis is now unlockable at level 32 within the Spellblade mastery tree.
  • Electrostep is now unlockable at level 24 within the Spellblade mastery tree.
