About the Public Test Realm (PTR)
The PTR is a server for players to participate in testing upcoming systems and content. It is NOT a full game experience. For the full early access game, please use the commercial Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen client.
On the PTR, there are bugs, incomplete content and/or systems, and server availability is not guaranteed. Additionally, character and/or server resets may occur without notice.
Please provide your bug reports and feedback on the Official Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Discord, where PTR feedback channels have been created.
Ranger Class Available
The Ranger class has been enabled for character creation. Please help test this class and leave feedback in our Discord!
In this Update
This update is primarily focused on combat and class ability tuning for levels 1-10. Numerous tuning changes have been made based on data and player feedback from the last two weeks of testing. Our goal this week is to confirm that we have entry-level content balanced well before we begin focusing on the next level band.
Rested Experience Adjustments
We are updating the formula used for Rested Experience to make the effect more noticeable. At the same time, we are reducing the rate at which it is gained. The intent of this change is to make it feel a bit more meaningful for its intended purpose of helping players that do not have a lot of time to play.
NPC and Item Tuning
We have performed an extensive update on low-level NPCs to help bring them more in line with the intended difficulty for their levels. We have also made updates to many low-level item drops to help bring them more in line with their intended power levels.
Class Abilities
Class abilities have been adjusted and updated for many classes based on player feedback from the past week. You can read about the specific changes below.
Level Cap
The level cap for Week 3 will remain set to level 10 as we evaluate the tuning changes that have been made.
Week 3 Testing Focus

- Updated class abilities
- Updated NPC tuning
- Ranger class testing

Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the skills list pop out would get stuck if it was in the middle of opening or closing when the character window was closed.
- Fixed an issue where the /use command in macros wasn’t allowing for hot bar ability slots higher than 8 to be used. It now supports all 14 slots (/use 1 through /use 14)
- Fixed an issue where right clicking on an ability in the codex to add it to the hot bar was incorrectly reporting that the ability was already on the hot bar/loadout.
- Fixed an issue where a player that had FTE rights got far enough away from the NPC they had rights to, the nameplate for others without rights that were still fighting that NPC would appear to have rights (the nameplate would switch from grey to red) until the player with the actual kill rights got back into close proximity again.
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to get more than one copy of a unique item in certain cases.
- A player’s pets will now properly despawn if the player dies.
- Fixed an issue that was improperly capping resist values at old levels in some cases.
Rested Experience
- Rested XP now accumulates to a total of 150% of your current level.
- The amount of bonus experience provided by rested experience has been increased to 50%.
- Rested experience will now deplete more quickly when killing NPCs.
Character Creation
- Ranger is now an available choice at character creation for the appropriate races.
- When starting a new character, casting, weapon, and combat skills will now start 3 points instead of 1 point. This is intended to help level 1 characters be more effective in combat against level 1 opponents.
