Our Biggest Year Yet

2024 is officially in the books and wow, what a year it has been! We’re thrilled that Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is now in Early Access, and thanks to you, our amazing players, we’re proud to see a “Very Positive” review score on Steam. Your support means the world to us!

Let’s take a quick look back and highlight what we’ve accomplished together this year.

In February, we kicked off our Seasons approach to the game, giving our VIP players the chance to dive into Pantheon full-time. Our Champion-tier players enjoyed two weeks of playtime each season, while our Supporter-tier players had one week. This format was super helpful in getting everything ready for our live service and it was a joy to watch so many people play together.

By the end of March, we launched Season 2, which brought our first major content update featuring the Mad Run overland dungeon. This update was a big step for us as it helped identify what we needed to keep things fresh and exciting for you.

May ushered in Season 3, revealing the Summoner and Ranger classes. While this update wasn’t packed with tons of new world content, it sure added a lot of fun with these unique classes.

In July, we made the bold decision to aim for Early Access in December. We won’t lie—it was a little scary, but incredibly thrilling. We had some substantial promises to keep for our content and updates, and we knew we had to deliver.

August brought us our first round of buddy keys for our pledging members, and we were thrilled to see our community grow as we gathered feedback, squashed bugs, and prepped for Early Access.

September was exhilarating, too as we introduced the Necromancer class, along with new human models, the Dark Myr, Elf, and Halfling, plus a variety of fresh armor models. Pantheon was becoming even more vibrant.

By October and November, we hit “pause” on the Seasons format and opened the test realms to all our pledges. This was a game-changer, allowing us to fine-tune everything before welcoming even more players into Early Access.

And then came December—the big moment! On December 13th, nearly 11 years to the day after our first team members gathered in Brad’s garage to dream up this socially-focused MMORPG, we launched Early Access on Steam. We knew our loyal pledgers had been enjoying the game, and we were hopeful we had captured the spirit we envisioned. But would it resonate with a broader audience? We’re overjoyed to say the answer is a big “YES!” Pantheon has received a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with 6 zones, 6 races, 12 classes, and over 30,000 player accounts—and that number keeps climbing! More and more players are discovering the magic of Terminus every day, even those who are new to classically-inspired MMORPGs.

But we’re just getting started. 2024 has been an amazing adventure, and we’re ready to keep the momentum going into 2025. You can look forward to more content, more players, more fun, and creating even more unforgettable memories together.
