Staff Guidelines for all Platforms of Engagement


All Platforms

  1. Maintain professionalism with clear and concise language.
  2. Keep in mind that if you say something, it will be shared as official word.
  3. Nothing is ever kept secret. Do not engage community members in confidential discussions.
  4. Only share confirmed and approved information. If you aren’t sure, ask!
  5. Do not share personal opinions in an official VR capacity.
  6. Do not engage in debate.
  7. Never dismiss concerns.
  8. Escalate to the appropriate staff or link to ticket support for complex issues.
  9. Disengage private discussion and escalate when players become abusive.

Steam

Steam is primarily a hands off platform. Basic moderation is built in, utilizing their forums’ tools and staff. Our presence here is mostly about developer updates, important announcements, and accurate information sharing.

  • Respond to discussion to engage community.
  • Confirm or correct community-shared information.
  • Accurately share dates, links, and test details from official sources.

Forums

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen official forums is our chance to engage and connect with our community. The goal of the forums is to foster positive community discussion and assist those who need it.

  • Follow and enforce the primary rules of the forums.
  • Follow warning protocol and escalation process.
  • Keep logs and screenshots of player interaction and pass those along to CM and CS team members as requested.
  • Be understanding. Players often share frustrations, and a little bit of understanding goes a long way in diffusing a situation.

    • Reddit

      This is a community-run platform and follows the same guidelines as Steam.

      • Respond to discussion to engage community.
      • Confirm or correct community-shared information.
      • Accurately share dates, links, and test details from official sources.

      Discord

      The public channels in Discord follow the same guidelines as the official forums.

      • Follow and enforce the primary rules of the forums.
      • Follow warning protocol and escalation process.
      • Keep logs and screenshots of player interaction and pass those along to CM and CS team members as requested.
      • Be understanding. Players often share frustrations, and a little bit of understanding goes a long way in diffusing a situation.
      • Keep discussion relevant to the channel on which you are posting.

      In-game

      In addition to all above rules, staff is expected to adhere to the following while interacting with players in game:

      1. Do not provide levels, items, resurrections or other in game assistance unless under the official duties of your job or as directed by the management team.
      2. Each team member has a personal game account which should be used when playing Pantheon.
      3. If you are performing tasks in an official capacity, use your GM tagged account only.
      4. Any questions on what is an acceptable action must be directed to Director of CS.
      5. Never reveal your identity and position as a member of Visionary Realms when playing. This is to protect your privacy and your personal time and enjoyment when playing.
