Developer Live Stream – Monk Combat Update and Gameplay

On Thursday, June 9th, 2022, we revealed animation improvements and gameplay tied to recent monk discussions as well as an important race and class matrix update. Below are important notes and items discussed during the stream

•Dark Myr will no longer be able to be Druids, however they will now be capable of being Shaman
•Elves will now be able to be Clerics, and due to this, will now join, with Dark Myr, the races capable of being Paladins
•Halflings will no longer be able to be heavy armored Warriors, but their sense of deception and trickery will lend them benefits of now being able to become a Dire Lord
•Skar will bring their ruthless ways to the art of the Ranger
•Archai will summon their elemental makeup, in order to harness the powers of the Summoner.
•With the new additions to our art team, we showed off the process from concept art, to animation development, to in-game implementation for the Monk staff abilities
•The new sprint mechanic and animation were shown off in action for the first time, and we discussed the importance of this mechanic, as well as how it will impact speed manipulating abilities
•We spoke in depth on monk combat in the early levels of play, discussing abilities, talking about strategic timing of abilities, and options given to the player.
