Just like early EQ1, no maps. I still remember finding the website eqatlas back in the day. I spent many days in the library printing off each map as it was posted. I put them in a three ring binder in plastic sleeves. Though I didn't draw and create the maps myself. It truly felt like I was getting maps in the world.
While there may be no mention of it in the FAQ, there is more than enough mention of it in the forums. In addition to the great thread Evoras linked, I will also add these threads you might find interesting in regards to maps and cartography.
