question though...what is the plan for Pantheon is it going to be subscriber based? (pretty much a dead thing) or is it going to be free to play? if its going to be subscriber base then its easier to control gold selling but if its going to be free 2 play then they are going ot need a agressive system for getting rid of gold sellers, I would say honestly look to SOE and find out how SOE limits their gold sellers, they are really the only successful company I have seen really limit gold sellers

From Brad McQuaid himself....Pantheon will be 100% sub, no in game store. There will be (details being worked on) a free trial but after a certain time or level you must either pay up or move on.

hmm interesting we will have to ride this wave and see how it plays out, ESO said they wouldn't go free 2 play even though they were advised to many times, I am pretty sure they will be free 2 play by the end of the year, free 2 play just makes more profit.

True, but that is why they are trying to keep the size of the team small...using a volunteer team is so they can keep the cost down and not have a 100 million dollar hole to dig themselves out of.

These are the walls that we need to break down.

Pantheon is not trying to be ESO, or WoW, or Rift, or GW2.  This game is trying take the mold of the modern MMO and smash it into a trillion little pieces.  Pantheon isn't catering to the masses, or the lazy, or the egos.  Pantheon is about peeling away all the "essential" elements of the modern MMO and getting back to the foundations laid in the 90s.  It's about dropping all the pomp and vanity in favor of meaningful gameplay, with rewards and consequences.   This game will kick you in the teeth and point as it steps over you.

Ideas like these are what this community, and VR are striving for.  If your vision is anything contrary to this, then you're probably in the wrong place.  This is in no way directed at anyone, but instead should be viewed as a mission statement and a call to arms.
