For me the influence of books or movies has been very minimal for my RP. My characters always come from somewhere inside myself. This is not to say that the odd character in a book or movie has not inspired a certain trait in one of my own characters but as I’m creating them they take on a life of their own.
The world of terminus has definitely inspired my writing. The backstory I worked on most recently was completely written using lore from terminus. The character was a creation of my own but her backstory weaves in and out using lore from the game world.
