Status ?

So I used to be up on the forums every moment of every day until I got burnt out waiting for alpha.. I also see that Visionary Realms failed to take my suggestion under consideration to give a tiny little "Status" bar on the website to show if Pantheon is in "pre-pre-alpha" still, or if it's in pre-alpha,alpha,beta, or live. So can anyone tell me where the heck this game stands currently ?

I glimpsed at some twitches and see they got the character molds implimented in-game, that's cool..

Still pre-pre-alpha. Pre-alpha coming "soon." The goal is in the next few months, but we'll see. I'm sure they'll make it abundantly clear when it's time. Who's to know if they considered your suggestion, but if you had watched any significant amount of the last twitch stream, they clarified time and time again that it's pre-pre-alpha. It's a long road but the wait will be worth it, especially when there are literally no other prospects.

I suspect things won't move so quickly that we really need a status bar to keep track of what stage the game is currently in - and having one would tend to focus attention on "why the heck isn't the status bar moving?" rather than the progress that is being made. Given that people here will be participating in various pre-alpha, alpha and beta testing we will know when the status changes even if there are non-disclosure agreements precluding discussion of game details. VR doesn't want too much focus on just where we stand, for very good reason, but they also don't want a widespread perception that the game is vaporware - when we hit the various stages they will want the progress to be known. So while I can see why you made the suggestion I can also see why they didn't jump on it.

As far as I know we are not yet at the first stage where public (meaning people here that contributed to the game) testing is available. It is anticipated that this will be reached during the first half of this year but that is not a promise. After Vanguard was pushed out far too early (out of desperation when financial backing dried up not out of miscalculation) VR is quite sensitive to the need to only move forward when things are ready for public viewing.

    Also very true.

These guys are working their butts off right now, that's all I know.  I don't want to rush them either.  I say we all just give these guys some breathing room and encourage them as much as we can.  Positivity will keep them motivated and the moral high.  :)

    go go team VR!

The wait is much more bearable if you do stay away from the forums IMO.

It isn't that we "failed" to take that suggestion under consideration, we just simply do not think it would benefit anyone this early in development and it wasn't something we wanted to do. We release regular information when we have something to release, we are very transparent and consistently show measurable progress via interviews, screenshots, streams, videos etc. and if you checked the links below that are readily available for even free/read-only accounts, you would have received your answer without having to make a passive aggressive post my friend.
