If you were a game designer, How would you implement the Easter holiday weekend?
3 days in the rabbit hole.
holes appear all over the world. You can go down them if you eat the correct groundspawn mushroom near the hole, if you chose poorly, you become gigantic, like really gigantic, until you zone.
When you go down the rabbit hole, a whole new zone opens for the world to experience for 3 days. Similar to the plane of mischief; except finished, challenging, and groupable at any level, think dynamic PvE match up. There could be a platformer type of maze based on consumables and their effects to get into the new zone, but once you get there there is actual upgrade loot from zonewide events. not just daily grinding of points until you have enough for a rabbit mount. Im just sayin, could be fun =)

I agree with this. Why should Pantheon have Christian (or more correctly pagan since they originated from the pagan religions pre-dating christianity) religious holidays in it? It makes no sense. Perhaps we should have Pantheon celebrate Chinese new year as well? Or what about Ramadan? Nope just say no to the whole lot of them.
I agree... I think the game should have it's own holidays that cycle within the game world time. As the seasons come around within the game, the player can get involved in the special season of events. This is not something I have to have, but if so, this makes more sense to me.

I agree, even christmas and halloween. Any in game holiday should be limited to in game lore. There should be little to no resemblance to denominational holidays for sure. The example I threw out there was really arbitrary because it really is a challenge to create a holiday from nothing.
I agree with the general consensus of being Terminus related. But I also understand what you are getting at: Rabbits, Eggs. Maybe something that subtly hints at or towards eggs.
I remember a cute in-town quest in Shar Vahl that involved a kitten that lost some buttons or somehting. You had to go all over the place to collect the buttons and give them back and escort her home- to give an excuse to her parents. I dont recal it exactly, but it was cute and hokey and the intent was to mhave newbies/strangers learn about the city.
But temporary, or zone limited giantism or shrink, woud be cool. Maybe a giant rabbit with super speed ( a la turkeylegs in the overthere place in kunark) where if you caught it, it would give you an egg, and if you cracked the egg, it would change your flesh color- ha!- Like bright pink, striped, and only last for the day- temp, no rent item ( so you had to crack it, that day to get the laugh, you could not hoard it and sell it the next day)
