As a UK citizen I just had to say goodbye to the only Queen I have ever known. She held office with dignity and grace and a ton of self-control. A lesson for us all in how to handle the trials of life. She will be missed more than most realise.

It really was a wild ride for her wasn't it? Perfection is expected of notable persons but never actually realized, well maybe Mr. Rogers pulled it off.  But the queen of a diminished empire, wars, the rise of mass media and the internet, that is a life that saw a lot.  Anyways, death clears all debts.

The length of her reign is astounding.  Its the equivalent of a monarch serving from now until 2092.
