Will I have to clean up after my pet?
So the network stack is soon to be in a ready state and pets will be following as a task for the team. I'm sure there is a dry erase board with pet ideas somewhere out there. Let's talk about the little pet ideas we dream of and how we hope to use pets.
We all know that Rangers can summon a flock of doves when they need to charm a handsome elf, but what other creatures could be summoned?
Hawk/eagle for transport or scouting.
- occasionally drop feathers?
Bear for brawls and warm napping spots?
- will they eat berries
Wolves for fights and fetching sticks?
- can we make them sit or roll over?
Swarms of bees to invade camps and make honey?
Spiders to make ropes or catch tasty bugs
Fox for health and good cheer or to distract mobs?
Be creative and have fun.
Please move to appropriate forum
The choice of a bird or a dog for a bard. That way with two bards they can make stereo music since they will have both a woofer and a tweeter.

A Moose to ride across Terminus...and to pull rabbits out of hats
A Lobster to fight...and help Bards learn the words to 'Under The Sea' which gives you waterbreathing
Turtles to be used as tank pets...and to introduce the upcoming Ninja class in a future expansion
Could a wolf flush out or potentially track down small prey for professions?
Could a rabbit lead player to plants that could be harvested for alchemy/cooking?
Could a raven try to locate shiny ore veins?
Cold a bear cub or raccoon guide players to fishing hot spots?
This forum thread is mainly talking about combat pets, however, some of the ideas could extend over to noncombat pets as well.
I would like to see in-game tech for dropped fur / feathers and temporary footprints. I would also like to see the ability to drop items that can attract wildlife (bread crumbs attracting birds, food attracting animals, picnic baskets attracting bears, etc).

Give the dog a muzzle, a leash, and a leather collar and you can add a sub-woofer too.

If we can ride bull mooses, I will have to create a Teddy Roosevelt character. Teddy Bowsevelt, human Ranger, founder of the Rough Riders guild.
