I thought the same when I saw it.

Every time I see AIM, the sounds of dial up (connecting) ring through my head.

Was wondering so I Googled it and AIM is no longer even an option.

AIM has been discontinued as of December 15, 2017

You aren't, that and FidoNet was all we needed... until this moster called The Internet became widespread. Suddenly electronic mails arrived almost instantly instead of the next day. And there was IRC!
