Just a thought I had. More funding for Pantheon via cryptocurrency and could also serve as a in-game currency as well.
It doesn;t have to have miners, can be centralized(51% resistance if not immune) and proof of stake(make coins while holding coins, no GPUs or ASIC miners running, just play the game). The more you play the more coins you generate in payment for playing and being a node.. Also with a real USD value will prevent gold sellers etc.

Being centralized each transaction VR could take a cut as funding as Krono sales but way cooler.
Each client could be a node, imagine the possibilities.
