Questions about npc items and some abilities

I'm a old Everquest fanatic - even still play it to this day, and especially love the progression servers that start out with Classic and unlock expansions over time.

So I just had a few questions about Pantheon about some of the things I think is really nice about Everquest.

In Everquest, mobs that carry weapons, will drop weapons, and if you find a named and know that he drops a specific weapon, he will carry that weapon on him and use it. I always thought this was a really lovely thing for immersion and because it makes sense that the mob in question would use the item that it had on it. Frenzied ghoul would use his haste belt if he had it on him and attack faster, etc.

So my question becomes this: Will mobs that carry weapons drop those weapons and maybe also their armor? Maybe they use fine steel or rusty weapons, or worn or tattered armor - who knows.

Another question - again one of the things I love about EQ. A lot of spells have functions that aren't just combat-oriented, and acquired at various levels. Will there be utility spells like invisibility, summon food/water, calming/lulling spells that can help you avoid aggro, underwater breathing, levitation, etc.? Also, will spells of lower levels still be useful at higher levels? In everquest, for example, I still used level 13 mezz spells at lvl 50 because they had good duration and cheaper cost than higher lvl spells.

And of course, in line with enchanter being my favourite class in Everquest. Will there be charm spells that can make the mobs fight for you instead? This was perhaps somewhat overpowered in Everquest, but balanced out by breaking very randomly and might suddenly kill off the enchanter very quickly, if it wasn't handled correctly when it broke.

    Welcome!

    1. Will mobs that carry weapons drop those weapons and maybe also their armor?

    Yes. (See https://www.pantheonmmo.com/content/forums/topic/6074/monsters-with-loot-you-can-see and  href="https://www.pantheonmmo.com/content/forums/topic/4953/visable-lootable-armor-on-mobs/view/page/1">https://www.pantheonmmo.com/content/forums/topic/4953/visable-lootable-armor-on-mobs/view/page/1)

    2. Will there be utility spells like invisibility, summon food/water, calming/lulling spells that can help you avoid aggro, underwater breathing, levitation, etc.?

Absolutely! All of those and more.

    3. will spells of lower levels still be useful at higher levels?

    In some cases, sure!

    4. Will there be charm spells that can make the mobs fight for you instead?

Yes, the Enchanter in Pantheon is similar to the EverQuest Enchanter.

So basically, yes to everything haha. If you liked EverQuest, I definitely believe you will like this game. If you haven't already, I suggest you read the FAQ (https://www.pantheonmmo.com/game/faqs/) to help get you up to speed and fill you in on a bunch of other stuff :) Hope this helps
