Well I was 10 years old when I first witnessed the spectacle of Star Wars in Cinerama. Carrie was my first crush.   I have had much respect for her career and her choice to stay away from Hollywood past Return of the Jedi.   I think see just wanted to live her life on her terms.

    She will be missed.

I had been keeping an eye out since the news broke, until today, figured no news was good news.  She was my first movie star crush.

She was truely beautiful and she was the first crush for SO many people. I just went and saw Rogue One on Christmas and SWORE she reprised her role but it was just good ol movie magic. She will always be a part of one of the first true blockbusters and her role as Princess Leia should be cemented in the history of cinema.

I didn't comment yesterday because it was tough for me to think she was only 60. I say Star Wars in may of 77 at 6yrs old and yes fell in love with her. Fast forward to now I'm 46 and she is gone and I am only 14 years from 60. What a craptastic year for quality people passing 2016 has been Alan Rickman(professor Snape/Hans Gruber), David Bowie and Prince, now Carrie Fisher my Princess Leia. Well I hope none of you lost anyone close because our Idols from the 80s were severely affected this year.

A lot to say, but others have summed up nicely. Suffice to say... She is one with the force and the force is with her.

Was sad think her Mom Debbie Reynolds passed from a broken heart,  she died the very next day after Carrie,  said she missed her and was arranging for Carrie's funeral etc..and a little while later had a stroke (she was 84) and passed away.    Fly with the angels Carrie and Debbie...you will both be missed.
