What would your really think they need for pre alpha? A start zone and a secondary zone with a multi teir of mobs ranging high enough to satisify the community? Because it seems like that is what is happening.
Won't go like Vanguard as they aren't under pressure from a publisher. Pantheon is crowd funded from angel investors and the public. They will release it when it is ready (won't be anytime soon though).
