    Monotonous

This probably sums up my experiences with it best.

Other applicable words for my history with raiding: Tedious. Divisive. Overused. Exclusionary. Game-breaking. Elitist.

Couple any of these descriptors with Mindnumbingly, or Excruciatingly.

    Indifferent

I used to love it, but realize how much time was wasted gathering, buffing, explaining large encounters only to have one person goof up and have to start all over. I'm passed that

Give me group content with a lot of grinding I'll be fine. But I certainly don't condemn those that raid or want to. My favorite part about Vanguard was the best armor in the game was obtainable by 12 people. Just took a lot of faction and a lot of grinding. Took forever to get, but was worth it when you did.

I certainly will never forget 90-100 man raids on Avatar of War throwing body and after body at him and watching him finally fall to the ground though. That's why I don't condemn anyone who wants to raid. I had a lot of those thrills.

    Time-Consuming

Would love to do it- Hard to dedicate that much time to it with my other RPG called Real Life.

I enjoyed raiding in zones such as the Plane of Hate in EQ where you would strategically move through the zone, slowly clearing the mobs, including named mini bosses; it felt like a scaled up version of crawling through a dungeon with a single group. However, I wasn't a fan of endless hours, repeatedly dying to a single mob (such as a dragon) only to end up having to split a few items between a large number of people that had invested a lot of time, and more often than not, lost a lot of XP along the way. That wasn't particularly fun, given the fact that most people came away worse off than the others.

    Fun

But that depends on the raid. I loved the Ancient Port Warehouse raids. But i really dislike the raids (trials) in ESO.

    Personally: Ambivalent

I'm ambivalent personally because while I like the idea of Raiding, and think it's a necessary thing for those who like those larger, group-based events that require coordination and cooperation to be at their peak.. I personally have no interest in it, really.  Just not one of the things that has ever appealed to me. Mostly the scheduling aspect and having to be consistently available and ready on a schedule, etc. My activities in a MMORPG are very "whatever I'm in the mood for", and if I just don't feel like raiding.. I'm not going to. But I also wouldn't want to screw a raid group/guild over, so... I prefer just not to get involved with it.
